Marietta College offers five teacher education licensure program options: Primary Education and Special Education Dual Degree (Preschool through Grade 5), Middle Childhood and Special Education Dual Degree (Grades 4 through 9), Secondary Education (Grades 7 through 12), Secondary Education and Special Education Dual Degree (Grades 7 through 12), Wellness (Pre-K-12) and Special Education (K-12), and a Music Education licensure program (housed primarily in the Music Department); as well as a non-licensure Educational Studies major.

Whether your major is science-based or not science-based, the Energy Systems Studies minor will expand your knowledge of all sources of energy so you can understand the energy industry, its impact on the environment and the social and economic aspects it has at the global level.

In this five-year, 3+2 dual degree program, students spend the first three years of their undergraduate education at Marietta College pursuing a bachelor of science in an area of liberal arts within the realm of science or mathematics. Students then transition to one of our partner institutions to earn their engineering degree.

The McDonough Leadership Program helps students gain a deeper understanding of leadership, practice their leadership skills, and in the process, grow as engaged leaders on campus, in the local community, and beyond.

Students who major in English at Marietta write extensively and learn to express themselves effectively, both orally and in writing. They gain practical insight into the words they speak, read, and write.

The Entrepreneurship program at Marietta College offers a major, minor, and certificate — all of which will prepare you for success.

Environmental Science majors at Marietta are dedicated to making a difference, and they develop the skills to back it up.

At the heart of the Environmental Studies program at Marietta College is the belief that human social, scientific, and technological systems, which have created major environmental problems, can also be used to solve these problems and lead to a sustainable future.
