To a liberally educated person, nothing is out of reach.
Nationally ranked Marietta College is one of the finest small, liberal arts institutions in the Midwest. Our students benefit from taking an array of courses on various subjects outside of their chosen majors. Learning takes place in traditional classrooms and labs, as well as in many experiential learning settings.
Marietta isn't for those who are content to follow.
Our alumni are passionate learners, leaders and trailblazers. Like Dr. Story Musgrave ’60 — who is a retired NASA astronaut (the only one to fly on all five Space Shuttles), surgeon, mathematician, chemist, author, computer scientist, artist, biophysicist, physiologist and landscape engineer — Marietta graduates are prepared for the ever-evolving world of work.
The success of our graduates echoes through their vocal and financial support of the College. A recent survey among alumni indicates that 93 percent are pleased with their decision to attend Marietta, with 92 percent giving Marietta a good or excellent rating. In addition to counting NASA’s “Renaissance astronaut” as one of our graduates, Marietta has also produced a Nobel Prize-winning U.S. Vice President, U.S. Senators, the founder and first president of the American League, renowned artists, a pioneering AIDS researcher and Assistant U.S. Surgeon General, notable authors and beloved teachers.
At Marietta College, your potential is without limits.
