Marietta College’s Art Department closes out the 2018-19 exhibition season with the annual Senior Art and Design Capstone Exhibition, which features the work of six students.
The exhibition, which is titled “Questionable at Best,” is the culmination of the students’ four years at Marietta College as artists and designers. It will be held in the Atrium Gallery of the Hermann Fine Arts Center with an opening ceremony from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 5th.
“We have been preparing for the art show since the beginning of last semester and all of our projects are something we are passionate about,” said Megan Horsley ’19 (Millersburg, Ohio), one of the senior artists presenting at the exhibition. “It took a lot of research, time, and preparation for this show and I am very excited to present my final project and see the pieces come together.”
The other featured arts in the show are Katelynd Berg ’19 (Medina, Ohio), Angelo Leitner-Wise ’19 (Alexandria, Virginia), Maria Mudre ’19 (New Albany, Ohio), Michelle Yu ’19 (Beijing, China) and JunQuan Zhou ’19 (Beijing, China). Each student will present an individual exhibition based on the skills, interests and inspirations they have developed over the past four years. These exhibitions include a variety of mediums in both studio art and graphic design.
“Questionable at best” will be displayed in the Atrium Gallery on the third floor of Hermann Fine Arts Center, which is handicap accessible through May 5th. Gallery hours are 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. weekdays.
