The Marietta College Art Department is proud to present She Is Full Circle, a two-person exhibition featuring the work of retired MC instructor Beth Nash, and Pangiota Kourniotis from Columbus, Ohio. The exhibition will be on display at Gallery 310 from February 11 to April 24, with an artist reception on Friday, March 21, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., in honor of Women’s History Month.
She Is Full Circle explores themes of transformation, strength, and the enduring power of women, both past and present. The exhibition title is inspired by Diane Mariechild’s writing, which describes a woman as a full circle, possessing "the power to create, nurture, and transform." Through their distinct artistic practices, Nash and Kourniotis bring forward deeply personal narratives and cultural heritage, reflecting the multifaceted roles of women throughout history.
Beth Nash, a retired Instructor of Art from Marietta College, draws on mystical mythology and symbolism in her work. She has an extensive exhibition record, with notable Best in Show awards at the Boston Mills Art Festival in 2019 and 2024, as well as participation in Ohio +5 at The Dairy Barn in 2024. Nash also received an honorable mention at the Zanesville Art Museum’s 78th Annual Juried Exhibition in 2024.
Pangiota Kourniotis, a first-generation Greek American, incorporates her Greek heritage and mythology into her artwork. Her work has been exhibited at prominent venues including Blockfort Gallery, the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, John Glenn International Airport, and Wild Goose Creative. Kourniotis has received the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Artist Supply Grant for 2023 and 2024, further recognizing her artistic contributions.
