Marietta College is hosting “Raising Awareness: Fighting Against Human Trafficking and Drug Abuse,” from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, September 7th.
The presentations and panel discussion, which are spearheaded by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s office, will take place in the Timothy O. Cooper Auditorium in Thomas Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Veronica Scherbauer from DeWine's office will make a presentation on “Human Trafficking 101,” followed by Alisha Nelson, also of DeWine's Office, making a presentation about “The Opioid Epidemic in Ohio.”
The evening will close with a panel discussion featuring The Mid-East Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Behavioral Health Board.
