The March 2018 PioPitch, sponsored by the Marietta College Entrepreneurship Program, will welcome two entrepreneurs who are using their talent and creativity to invigorate the local arts and history scene. The session is scheduled for 4-5 p.m., Thursday, March 1, in the Timothy O. Cooper Auditorium (Thomas Hall 124) on the Marietta College campus.
Presenters will include Andy Felt, director of the local Shakespeare on the River Festival, and Jessica Wielitzka, owner of Hidden Marietta.
Felt was the founding Artistic Director of Shakespeare in the Garden (CA), studied Shakespearean acting in London with Brigid Panet (RADA), served as Assistant Director to Jim Helsinger and Dennis Lee Delaney at Orlando Shakespeare Theater (2009), and has performed in many Shakespeare plays. He is now an Associate Professor as well as the Artistic Director of the Theatre at Marietta College.
Wielitzka has been active in the history tourism sectors for many years and, under her leadership, Hidden Marietta is dedicated to uncovering the hidden history of the town. Currently pursuing an MBA, Wielkitzka has extensive training in land, town and family research.
