The Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development announced the recipients of five endowed Experiential Education Summer Awards on Thursday, April 10.

The awards are designed to facilitate Marietta College students in pursuing professional development opportunities, including internships, research projects, studying abroad, and conference presentations, during the summer months away from home and campus. These awards are made possible through the generous contributions of Marietta College's alumni and friends.

  • The Danielle L. Cisler '05 Internship Award was awarded to Connor Reed, who is completing an internship withHuntington Bank during the summer.
  • Hinata Sotsuda was awarded the Robert E. Evans Award, to support an internship in Tokyo, Japan.
  • The Thrash-Henderson Mathematics Experiential Education Award went to Colin Walters, providing support for an opportunity to participate in laboratory training at Ohio State University.
  • Gabriella Davison, who will intern with the Washington County Public Health Department, and Olivia Lemasters, who will intern with Jan Dils Attorneys at Law, each were awarded a Nancy Dare Luce ‘76 Experiential Learning Award.
  • The Howsmon-Keyes Experiential Education Award provides nearly $7,000 to be distributed among qualified applicants. These awards went to: Adrienne Hammontree, to support her internship at Brown University; Ava Huebner, who will study abroad in the United Kingdom; Havana Gomez, to support research at Saint Louis University; Lindsey Posey, for study abrad in the Richmond Law Program in Cambridge, England; and Phoebe Smith who will complete an internship with Peoples Bank in Marietta.

This year, the Center received 46 applications; awardees were selected by a diverse selection committee, comprised of representatives from departments across campus, as designated by our donors.

The award winners will receive award certificates during the Center’s End of the Year Award Ceremony and Networking event on May 1, 2025.
