Marietta College President Dr. Margaret L. Drugovich has signed a proclamation recognizing National Physician Assistant Week from October 6-12. The proclamation honors the PA profession and the high-quality care provided by Marietta College’s graduates.
Marietta’s PA alumni work across numerous medical specialties, including primary care, surgery, oncology, cardiology, orthopedics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and more. As advanced practice clinicians, PAs practice medicine as members of healthcare teams alongside physicians and other providers.
Marietta College's PA program, established in 2002, provides students with the in-depth medical training and clinical skills needed to qualify for state licenses and national certification. Graduates have a first-time PANCE pass rate above the national average, and 26 of 36 students from the Class of 2023 had secured jobs before graduation at an average salary of $109,361.
