On a picturesque Saturday afternoon, Marietta College’s Class of 2018 students from the Physician Assistant Program completed 25 months of intensive studies and training to earn their diplomas at the 15th graduation ceremony.
The 35 graduates join a special group of The Long Blue Line, as only 387 others who have earned the degree from the College — bringing the total of Marietta PA graduates to 422. Another member of the class is expected to complete degree requirements in December.
Many of the graduates have already secured employment and will be heading out across the U.S., while others are weighing their professional options.
Four students — Madison Hexter (Akron, Ohio), Rachel Hinkle (Crooksville, Ohio), Marisa Huber (Stow, Ohio) and Tyler Orewiler (Bucyrus, Ohio) — were inducted in Pi Alpha Honor Society. Joining them as inductees are Brittany Burks PA’15, Joseph Musial PA’16 and Patricia Martin (faculty).
President Bill Ruud, Provost Janet L. Bland, Program Director Miranda Collins and Ruud all spoke during the ceremony.
