Marietta College’s Legacy Library is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a week full of events and contests.
The celebration will kick off with an essay contest to describe, in 500 words, “what do you want your legacy to be?” Submit your entry by Thursday, January 31st, to win a book of your choice. In addition, there will be a photo contest with a gift card to the Chlapaty Café for the first place winner. To be eligible for the prize, post a photo in or of the Legacy Library and use the hashtag #LegacyLibrary by Thursday, January 31st.
On Monday, January 28th, come in to guess how many books are in the entire Legacy Library. You can leave your guess in the lobby.
Leave your legacy on Tuesday, January 29th, and stop in to sign the guestbook that will be placed in the Special Collections, along with free cupcakes.
On Wednesday, January 30th, the library will provide food and give-away free T-shirts for those who come in to make their own puzzles and dorm decor.
The celebration ends on Thursday, January 31st with a Library Scavenger Hunt. Each team member will receive a free T-shirt, and the winning team will receive a gift card to the bookstore.
