Marietta College’s student body will have 12 candidates — eight for queen and four for king — when they begin voting for the 2023 Homecoming queen and king on Thursday, October 19.
Students can vote online from 8:00 a.m., Thursday, through 5:00 p.m., Friday, at the URL they received in an email.
The winners will be announced at Don Drumm Stadium during halftime of the Pioneers’ football game against Heidelberg University on Saturday, October 21. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in the Ohio Athletic Conference game. The Pioneers are 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.
This year’s Queen candidates are:
Jess Brown (Brookville, Ohio) is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Coaching. She is representing the Softball Team. She will be escorted by her parents, Vernon and Jennifer Brown, and her sister, Lillian.
Kennedy Couch (Lancaster, Ohio) is majoring in Biochemistry with a Leadership minor. She is representing Women in STEM. She will be escorted by her parents, Jeff and Danel Couch.
Katrina Dunseith (Sardinia, Ohio) is majoring in Special Education Elementary Dual Preparation. She is representing the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
Hannah Kroft (Marietta, Ohio) is majoring in Marketing and Sport Management. She is representing the Women’s Basketball Team. She will be escorted by her parents, Ben and Nancy Kroft.
Kyla Morris (Barnesville, Ohio) is majoring in Environmental Science with a minor in Leadership Studies. She is representing the Gardening Club. She will be escorted by her parents, Lou Ann and Kevin Morris.
Logan Osborne (Wilmington, Ohio) is majoring in Art with minors in Psychology and Leadership Studies. She is representing the Chi Omega sorority. She will be escorted by her mother, Alexa McCann.
Marley Phillippe (Easton, Maryland) is majoring in Educational Studies. She is representing the Women’s Lacrosse Team. She will be escorted by the Alpha Xi Delta House Mom, Mary Beth Bolden, and her best friend, Shelby Millheim ’22.
Grace Wharton (Barlow, Ohio) is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Leadership Studies. She is representing the Sigma Kappa sorority. She will be escorted by her parents, Eve and Roy Wharton.

Grant Howard (Galena, Ohio) is majoring in Information Systems with a minor in Cyber Security. He is representing the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He will be escorted by the ATO Chapter Advisor, Roger Patterson.
Tyler Johnston (Granville, Ohio) is majoring in Sport Management with a Strategic Communication minor. He is representing the Office of Community Living. He will be escorted by his parents, Julie and Wes Johnston, and his sister, Jeorgia.
Nathan Ritchie (Barlow, Ohio) is majoring in Management with minors in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. He is representing the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He will be escorted by his mother and stepdad, Erica and Arron Chidester, and his father, Larry Ritchie.
Evan Saribalas (Columbus, Ohio) is majoring in Applied Physics with a minor in Mathematics. He is representing the Men’s Rowing Team.
