Eleven members of Marietta College’s Greek Community were initiated into Gamma Sigma Alpha, National Greek Academic Honor Society on Monday, December 4th.
The students are the first in more than six years to be initiated into this prestigious honor society at Marietta College and constitute the revival of the Gamma Beta Chapter of Gamma Sigma Alpha.
The students who were honored are Haley Cormack ’18 (Perry, Ohio), Nell Cormack ’18 (Perry, Ohio) and Taylor Pennock ’20 (Beverly, Ohio) of Sigma Kappa; Austin DeLeonardis ’18 (Martins Ferry, Ohio), Cody Dobbs ’18 (Lewisville, Ohio), Tristan Kozel ’18 (Connellsville, Pennsylvania) and Jordan Monyak ’19 (Brunswick, Ohio) of Alpha Tau Omega; David Erzen ’19 (Bethel Park, Pennsylvania) of Delta Tau Delta; Tara Moore ’19 (Oberlin, Ohio) and Celeste Prince ’18 (Hilliard, Ohio) of Chi Omega; and Michaila Riley ’19 (Zanesville, Ohio) Alpha Xi Delta
Membership in Gamma Sigma Alpha requires a grade-point-average of a 3.5 or better, cumulative or semester, and junior or senior status in the Greek organization.
