This day is about more than making contributions; it’s a testament to the shared spirit and commitment that make Marietta College so special. Alumni, parents, faculty, staff, students, and friends will unite to champion today’s Pioneers and create a lasting collective impact—all in just 24 hours!

At the heart of this effort is The Marietta Fund—a vital resource that addresses the evolving needs of our students and community. Your gift ensures that every Pioneer has the resources they need to thrive academically, athletically, and personally. It provides flexibility to meet critical needs, enhance learning opportunities, and support the faculty who inspire and guide our students. Now, you can maximize your impact by directing your Marietta Fund gift to one of four key areas: Student Priorities, Student Aid, Pioneer Club, or Women in Sports.

This Day of Giving, your participation matters more than ever. Every gift—no matter the size or designation—will help unlock the Trustee Challenge. If 1,000 or more donors join in, our Board of Trustees will match over $200,000 in matching gifts. That’s double the impact of your support and ensures our students have what they need to succeed, while preserving the values and traditions of The Long Blue Line.

What makes Marietta College special to you? Who was the first person who welcomed you to campus, or the professor who helped you discover your passions? Day of Giving F.A.Q.
What is the Day of Giving?
Our Day of Giving is an online celebration and fundraising event. Alumni, friends, staff, faculty, and even students come together to make a gift of $5 or more in support of Marietta College.
When can I give?
Day of Giving starts at midnight Eastern on Wednesday, February 14, and ends at 11:59 p.m.
What is our goal?
While generous gifts are always appreciated, our primary goal is to have 1,200 Pioneers make a gift of any size.
Are Day of Giving contributions tax-deductible?
Yes! When you make a gift during Day of Giving, you will receive an email confirmation that serves as your receipt for tax purposes.
Where do contributions go?
That's up to you! We encourage you to make a gift to The Marietta Fund, which allows the College to address areas of greatest need. This can include providing additional student aid, updating technology for classrooms, renovating athletic facilities, underwriting research and internships, and more. You can direct your gift to one of the priorities we will highlight during the campaign, or restrict your gift to the team or program you love the most by choosing "other" as your designation and indicating where you would like your contribution to go.
Why should I participate?
When Pioneers pool their resources, we can blaze new trails together. By giving back to the College, you are making a profound difference in the lives of today’s Pioneers. Your gift – of any amount – helps provide the resources students need to realize their dreams, keep our campus safe, and shows the entire community the love you have for MC.
Are there other ways I can get involved?
Absolutely! Do you have a few hours and access to a phone or computer? You can volunteer as a Day of Giving Advocate, reaching out to friends and classmates to encourage them to participate. Want to leverage your own gift to encourage others? You can set up a personal challenge to match gifts from your classmates, Greek brothers or sisters, teammates, or another list that you provide. You can even help build awareness leading up to the day by sharing what you love most about Marietta by using the hashtag #Luv4MC.
