Biography

Sadhana Warty Hall is serving as the Visiting Distinguished Faculty in Leadership during the 2023-24 academic year. She is the former Deputy Director of the Rockefeller Center. Hall designed, implemented, and oversaw programs for undergraduate students focusing on leadership, public policy, and civic engagement. She also oversaw the overall operations of the Center and was a member of the senior management team that developed the overall vision and strategic planning initiatives for the Center.

In 2019, Hall was one out of 45 individuals worldwide to receive the Endeavour Executive Leadership Award, often described as “the Australian equivalent of the Fulbright,” presented by the Australian government to leading professionals to undertake research and professional development in Australian institutions. In June 2015, Hall was the recipient of a staff award given by Dartmouth College, the Sheila Culbert Distinguished Employee Service Award, in recognition of a decade of work during which she built, broadened, and brought academic rigor to experiential learning programs that deepen students’ knowledge and understanding of public policy and strengthen their leadership skills.

Prior to her appointment at the Rockefeller Center, she worked for more than 20 years with communities around the world. In Tuvalu, Bhutan, and the Caucasus, she helped implement programs in health, agriculture, economic development, and water supply. In the US, Hall's experience includes managing primary healthcare programs and extending health services to disadvantaged communities in the state of New Hampshire. She served as director of international relations with the Global Health Council, where she also directed three annual global health conferences with 1,500 participants representing 80 countries.

She holds a B.S. from the University of Delhi, India, a M.A. from the University of Rajasthan, India, and a M.P.H. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Public Health.
