Junior PioBiz Round 1
On Friday, March 1, 2019, area high school students presented fifteen business ideas in Round 1 of the Junior PioBiz competition “Problem/Solution”. The competition was co-sponsored by Marietta Community Foundation and Marietta College, with a final award of $200 in cash and three free Marietta College courses. Winners were selected jointly by the audience and judges.
In Round 1 of the competition, students with the top six ideas received certificates and $50 in cash, and moved to Round 2 of the competition on April 4, 2019

Junior PioBiz Round 2
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, the top six award winners from Round 1 of the Junior PioBiz competition competed in Round 2 of the competition entitled “Proof of Concept”.

TOP 3 WINNERS IN ROUND 2
First Place Winners: William Lemon and Seven Parr from Parkersburg South High School won three free Marietta College 3-credit hour courses valued at $4,275.00 plus $200.00 in cash for their “NAIL ANCHOR” project.
Second Place Winner: Kayla Floyd form Marietta High School won for two free Marietta College 3-credit hour courses valued at $2,850.00 plus $150.00 in cash for her “Foster Fix” project.
Third Place Winner: Rose Sandlin from Marietta High School won one free Marietta College 3-credit hour course valued at $1,425.00 plus $50.00 in cash for her “Spot on The Dot Veterinary Clinic” project.
