Greek Councils
Almost 20% of the current student body are members of the three fraternities and three sororities represented on campus. These groups are self-governed by two democratic bodies: the IFC or InterFraternity Council governs all of our NIC (North American InterFraternity Conference) Organizations; the Panhellenic Council governs our NPC (National Panhellenic Conference) sororities.
Interfraternity Council
IFC stands for Interfraternity Council. It is the governing body of the four (4) fraternities at Marietta College. The role of the council is to provide opportunities for fraternity leaders to come together, set goals, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all activities adhere to the rules set forth by Marietta College, the North American Interfraternity Conference, the individual national fraternal organizations, and the Office of Campus involvement. This council exists to further the best interests of our member chapters. We are committed to bring about positive action through leadership, brotherhood, scholarship, service, and unity.
Panhellenic Council
The Panhellenic Council is committed to relationships built on trust through transparency, accountability, and mutual respect. Innovation and our core values of friendship, leadership, service, knowledge, integrity, and community guide us in fulfilling our mission.
