Marietta College is excited to offer a free, public, full-dome showing of “Secrets of the Sun” at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8th, in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium.

From the nuclear forces churning at the heart of the Sun to the mass ejections of solar material into surrounding space, we experience the power of the Sun and its impact on the planets and ultimately life on Earth.

We will also share information about the upcoming solar eclipse occurring on April 8th of this year. Eclipse glasses will be available for a small donation.

The evening will include a live star talk, followed by the full-dome video and a Q&A period. Events in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium are free and open to the public with first-come, first-served seating. Secrets of the Sun is a production of Evans & Sutherland Digital Theater.
