Marietta College is excited to offer a free, public showing of “The Hot and Energetic Universe,” at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium.

High energy radiation provides important information about the Universe, our own galaxy, neutron stars, supernova remnants, and stars like our Sun. “The Hot and Energetic Universe,” produced by Integrated Activities in the High-Energy Astrophysics Domain (AHEAD), takes us on an immersive journey to look at hot and violent processes in space, both near and far.

Each public show includes a live presentation about the current night sky, followed by a full-dome planetarium video and a Q&A period. Please note that all public shows are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
