Join the Marietta College Physics Club in the Anderson Hancock Planetarium on Wednesday, January 31st at 6:30 p.m. to view KIRA, a short full-dome film. KIRA was designed using the latest tools, software, and technology, including the gaming engine Unreal Engine 5, which allows for realistic, detailed environments, characters, and objects, and MetaHuman Animator, a brand-new performance-capture capability. One hundred years ago, the first planetarium projector brought the sky down to Earth and enthralled audiences with simulated stars. Now, KIRA employs a thought-provoking story and immersive technology to evolve the planetarium experience to an entirely new level and usher in the next 100 years. Along with the 25-minute film, Physics Club will have a nacho bar in the lobby.
