Bridges to Teaching
In the Summer of 2023, Marietta College’s Education Department began offering Bridges to Teaching to help address the teacher shortage in Ohio and around the U.S. Thanks to a $200,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Education, the first 15 students accepted in the program who plan to teach in the state of Ohio will be able to attend on a full-tuition scholarship.
Students attend classes fully online and benefit from a strong faculty mentor program. This post-baccalaureate program is designed for adults who have already completed a bachelor’s degree and are looking to switch careers. At the completion of the program, graduates will be credentialed to teach in any state in the U.S.
