Marietta College’s Department of Business & Economics recently inducted 15 students into Tau Pi Phi, the business and economics honor society for students of high academic achievement.
The students who were inducted include Anna Allison ’25 (Lancaster, Ohio), Davie Beattie ’23 (Novelty, Ohio), Aurora Bernhardt ’24 (Jacksonville, Florida), Laney Carpenter ’25 (Cambridge, Ohio), Brett Gandee ’24 (Vincent, Ohio), Cole Hammond ’24 (Bartlett, Ohio), Charles Herman ’23 (Medina, Ohio), Kaitlyn McClead ’23 (Marietta, Ohio), Jillian Middleton ’25 (Marietta, Ohio), Ryan Riccillo ’24 (Canton, Ohio), Jaden Schofield ’23 (St. Marys, West Virginia), Rachel Schofield ’23 (Marietta, Ohio), Melissa Szawranskyj ’24 (Westerville, Ohio), Benjamin Teasdale ’23 (York, United Kingdom), and Elizabeth Vigue ’23 (Lancaster, Ohio).
Membership in the honorary is open to those students who have:
- Completed at least 15 hours of B&E courses with a 3.2 GPA
- Earned a 3.2 overall GPA
- Completed a minimum of 60 hours overall at Marietta College
Tau Pi Phi honors outstanding students in majors in the Business & Economics department. Requirements are 15 hours in courses taught in the Business & Economics department with a 3.2 GPA, plus a 3.2 overall GPA with a minimum of 60 overall hours completed.
Tau Pi Phi was founded in Springfield, Ohio, at Wittenberg University in 1931.
