Three seniors from Marietta College’s Land & Energy Management program were recent recipients of highly competitive scholarships from the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL).
This year, the Landman Scholarship Trust awarded just 44 scholarships nationwide.
Marietta College’s Ross Keller ’20 (Long Bottom, Ohio), Tyler Lajko ’20 (North Olmsted, Ohio) and Andrew Barker ’20 (Mogadore, Ohio) were each recognized as they attended the annual AAPL meeting in Pittsburgh.
“Marietta is making really strong impacts in the industry,” said Dr. Tina Thomas, Director of Land & Energy Management. “I continue to get compliments from employers where our graduates and interns are working.”
Keller received the highest recognition from the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL at their awards meeting as he contended with students from West Virginia University and Penn State.
Barker also represented Marietta College at the inaugural MLBC-AAPL Student Leadership Council, which was held in conjunction with the AAPL meeting.
The Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL will come to Marietta for a conference on Sept. 12.
