Marietta College’s Education Department recently inducted nine students into Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in education, during a special ceremony earlier in April.
The students inducted into Kappa Delta Pi were Amanda Augustyniak ’20 (Pickerington, Ohio), Corrie Burkhardt ’19 (Zanesville, Ohio), Amanda Carpenter ’19 (Zanesville, Ohio), Monica Curtis ’19 (New Matamoras, Ohio), Elizabeth Dingey ’19 (Blue Rock, Ohio), Megan Hesson ’20 (Lowell, Ohio), Quinci Jones ’20 (New Concord, Ohio), Alexis Swisher ’20 (Marietta, Ohio) and Kelsey Wilmink ’21 (Dunbar, West Virginia).
Kappa Delta Pi was founded in 1911 to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. For more than a century, the Society has consistently grown, starting with a local chapter to become the international organization it is today, with an initiated membership that exceeds 1.2 million.
