Marietta College is conducting a free Engineering and Science Summer Camp for high-school-age students from July 11-15. However, to attend the camp, students must be nominated by a high school counselor or high school science teacher.
This residential camp is intended for students who have completed a minimum of one year of high school. The camp begins at 8:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, and concludes at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 15.
Every student will participate in three science experiences each day, and each two-hour experience will be with a different professor in the areas of environmental engineering, petroleum engineering and geology.
Thanks to generous funding by Marietta College, the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation and the Ohio Environmental Education Fund, the camp is being offered for free to 30 students.
To nominate a student, please contact Dr. Juan Carlos Ramirez-Dorronsoro at jcr006@marietta.edu to receive the necessary forms.
