It pays to have good advertising.
Marietta College can now add a few more accolades to its advertising success. In collaboration with Creosote Affects, the College was presented with three Educational Advertising Awards.
These awards are part of the largest national competition for marketing efforts among academic institutions.
“This year, more than 2,200 entries were received,” said Kristi Kraft, Brand Specialist of Creosote Affects. “The work we accomplished together last year stood out among the competition.”
The merits bestowed upon Marietta College included Gold and Bronze awards for two different brochures as well as a Bronze award for production on the Accepted Students video. The work on the brochures and video was a collaborative effort by Creosote and the College’s Office of Communication and Brand Management, and was produced for Marietta’s Admission Office for recruiting.
The Educational Advertising Awards started 34 years ago, and they now receive entries from more than 1,000 institutions annually. This year, submissions came from all 50 states and multiple foreign countries.
Each entry receives an evaluation from a national committee, and only the most excellent submissions are endowed honors of Gold, Silver, or Bronze.
For the Find Adventure brochure, Marietta College joined a narrow percentage of schools that received a Gold award.
In a highly sophisticated industry, Marietta’s advertising has successfully caught the attention of prospective students and marketing professionals alike.
