Our Mission Statement
The Department of Athletic Training and Sports Medicine includes the Bachelor of Sports Medicine Degree and the Athletic Training Department responsible for the health and well-being of Marietta College student-athletes. The department aims to promote, patient-centered care, inter-professional education and collaboration, student learning, professional development, evidence-based medicine, and advocacy for athletic training among its students, staff, faculty, and affiliates.
Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine
The Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine major is a pre-athletic training major. These courses include biology, chemistry, physics, communication, psychology, and sports medicine. Students will gain the foundational knowledge needed to pursue careers in the allied health field.
