Advising
Our Career staff can assist you with self assessment, and career exploration, in addition to enhancing job/graduate school search techniques.
Career Resources Library
The Career Library in the Career Center houses literature on career fields, information on companies as well as graduate and professional schools, and resources to enhance your job searches.
Email Referrals
Alumni who have registered with the Career Center receive information via e-mail about job and internship opportunites, and updates on Career Center events.
FOCUS
This interactive computerized guidence system help you explore your values and interests and abilities. You can also identify, and research appropriate careers and graduate/professional programs.
Resume Referrals
Alumni with resumes in College Central Network can easily be referred to employers who call our office in search of qualified candidates.

Wine, Dine & How to Act Fine
Each year the Career Center offers this professional etiquette dinner which covers a variety topics for appropriate behavior in the world of work, capped off by a dining etiquette banquet.

Mock Interviews
Deal with your interview jitters by signing up for a mock interview. This practice interview uses video tape equipment and feed back from Career Center staff to enhance your interviewing skills.
Credential Service
The Career Center will maintain your credential file which may consist of your resume, unoffical transcript and letters of recommendation among other possible documents. Files are mailed to employers at their request free of charge.
Testing
To assist in the career advising process, the Career Center staff can incorporate a variety of instruments including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory and Hollands Self-Directed Search. Each of these can be helpful in matching individual interests with occupational choices.
Online Services
Alumni can access jobs and internships advertised regionally and nationally through the Career Center
website by logging on to College Central Network.
Complaint Procedure
The Career Center realizes from time to time, you may question policies or the means of implementation.
If so, you should voice your dissent through proper channels. The Career Center has established this
procedure for you to share your concerns. |
